Local Markets

Local Market days of Alicante and the Torrevieja area

They say that there is a market held every day of the week in the surrounding villages and towns and you will be spoilt for choice.

Dolores market is held on a Friday and is a small market, but very good with the choice of stalls selling every thing from local grown produce to clothes and electrical items

Catral and Almoradi markets are held on a Saturday morning around the town squares. Almoradi market being one of the largest and most popular markets in the area. Again with anything from home grown produce to clothes and electrical items. Catral market is somewhat smaller market but is a typical small, friendly market where many of the locals meet.

Guardamar market is held on a Sunday being one of the largest of the markets offering numerous stalls of electrical goods, home improvement products, toys, shoes and clothing in addition to the normal abundance of vegetable and flower stalls. The market also offers an extensive food court, where you can sample every thing from a traditional English fry up to traditional Spanish meals.

Torrevieja market is held on a Saturday and is probably the largest of the local markets. It is sprawled throughout many of the main and side streets of Torrevieja. It is almost impossible to see every stall in one visit. The Torrevieja market is a MUST for the bargain seeker.
